Despite being only in his late twenties, Jasper James already has a long story as DJ. After having been the youngest person to ever DJ at the legendary Sub Club in Glasgow, he has quickly established himself as an artist-to-watch. His debut EP ‘Sneaky’ released on Optimo Trax in 2014, followed by “ZTRK1′ for Leftroom, brought him to play at some of the UK’s and Europe most acclaimed clubs and festivals over the last few years, including Warehouse Project, Bugged Out, Glastonbury, Chicago’s Smartbar, Berlin’s Watergate and Circoloco at Dc10. Jasper is known for mixing a wide-ranging selection of records, from Detroit house to the new Berlin techno, to classic disco, funk and soul. In 2015 he was named ‘Breakthrough DJ Of The Year’ by the influential DJ Mag.
At the Just Music Festival, Jasper James will perform, together with Jackmaster, at the aftershow of Nicolas Jaar’s concert at Ex Dogana.
